Bible Verse - day four

Hey guys. I really need to think of a better title for these posts; I'll think of one eventually.

Today, my heart is hurting. One of my friends ( we aren't super close; but we're still friends ) found out that on Friday night, one of her best-friends took his life. I can only imagine the pain she must be feeling. Last night I was up until about two in the morning crying over this. I've never met this young man; but I still found myself crying over his death. I want to reach out to her - be there for her; but I really don't know how. Right now all I can do is pray for her.

Now for the verse:

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts I think towards you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."

All to often we blame God for all the bad that happens in our life. We think that He's causing all the hurt and pain and heartache. When really, it isn't Him who's doing it. As He says in the verse He gives us peace, a future and a hope. Not evil and pain.

It's really easy to blame God when things happen - I'm even guilty of doing it - but it's not Him. When bad things do happen, He will be there to comfort you, and to help you. He's not there to hurt you.

Bible Verse - Day Three

Hey guys! It's been a few days, I've just been kinda "blah" if you know what I mean; just not in the blogging mood. I'm back though, and ready to go.

Hebrews 12:1-2

"Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily en-snares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."

"The writer compared the Christian life to a long-distance race."
"Christians can run the race of life well only by laying aside any impediment that hinders one from putting toward his best effort. 'Sin', especially that of 'unbelief', also forms a crippling hindrance to good running. A distance race requires endurance, persistence, and sustained effort - not a short sprint."
*quoted out of my study bible, talking about verse one.*

"Jesus Christ, the supreme example of endurance, is the finisher or perfecter in the sense that apart from Him we can do nothing.
"As a result if His faithful obedience, Jesus Christ is now seated at the 'right hand of the throne of God'. Believers who follow His example, will also have a reward."
*also quoted from my study bible, talking about verse two.*

I hope whoever reads this can be encouraged and strengthened by these verses.

Don't give up until you've won the race - until you've crossed the finish line. Life is hard but you've got to keep going.

Bible Verse - day two

Hey guys, today I will be sharing a verse out of the book of Matthew.

Matthew 6:34
"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own troubles."

Oh, worry. That annoying little thing that keeps you from doing something you want to do. Whether it be a game practice, a dance recital, making a speech, whatever it may be, we always worry about it; but in the end it works out fine and all the worrying we did was for nothing.

I personally think that this is one of the hardest verses to follow. Worrying is human nature. Sometimes I think we wouldn't be human if we didn't worry. We are told though, not to worry. Easier said than done, I know.

Why worry though when God has everything planned for you? There's really nothing in this world that we need to worry about. He's got it all under control.

So, next time you find yourself worrying about something - remember this verse.

Bible Verse - day one

Hey guys!

Today I thought that I'd share with you one of my favorite verses: Isaiah 41:10

"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."

The chapter of Isaiah 41:1-20 is talking about Israel being assured of God's help. They don't have to be afraid of the enemy because God is there protecting them.

No matter what you're going through, whatever storm you're walking through, God is right there with you. He will strengthen you and He will help you. It may seem like you're alone; but you're never truly alone. God is always right next to you, just waiting for you to call out to Him and ask Him for His help. When you do, He will always help you. He will never leave you. Never.

I hope you can be encouraged by this post. I also hope you can get something from it.

God loves each and everyone of you who will come about this post.

God Bless you all.

New idea.

Hey guys!

I was thinking that maybe I'd share a bible verse everyday; and talk about why I love the verse, as well as explain the verse if need be.

I just feel like this is a good idea. I'm already posting a verse a day on my Facebook page, and my Twitter. (@BubblySue) if you want to follow me :) So why not put it on my blog for more to see.

Be looking for the first post in the morning!

Dreams

Hey guys! It's been awhile since I've blogged. Haven't really been in the mood too lately. A lot going on; but I've got some time now - and I'm in the mood. :)

Dreams. We all have them. From the time we're little and want to be a princess or a train engineer. As we get older our dreams mature. We go from wanting to be a princess to wanting to be a veterinarian - we go from wanting to be a train engineer to wanting to be a firefighter. They are ever-changing as we grow up. They become bigger and bigger. Some want to be a movie star and some want to be a professional sports player.

These dreams come true for some; and for others they may realize that it was just a childhood fantasy that will never come about. So they give up on dreaming. They settle for a boring job they hate. They don't realize that their dream could've become a reality; but they give up - not knowing that their dream was just around the corner.

I believe children are a great example of dreamers. No matter how impossible it may seem - they still chase it. They go after that dream with all they have.

As they get older their dream becomes a distant memory. They go from being an astronaut to working 9 to 5 and sitting at a desk.

I'm not saying this happens to everyone; but it does happen. We become fearful instead of being fearless like our 5 year old self.

We let fear stand in the way of our dreams. Thinking we'll never be good enough to accomplish them.

I'm here to tell you that no matter what your dream may be - you can achieve it! Whether you want to be a writer, a singer, a dancer, an actor/actress. Whatever it may be, YOU CAN DO IT!

Don't let your fears win.
Be Fearless.

Well, I don't know that the title should be

Hey lovely readers!

Tis true, I've got no idea what the title should be for this post. But anyway, that is not important.

So, I started a new blog for my photography, which I'm pretty excited about. That makes three blogs now - one if which was supposed to talk about my senior year, but I've yet to post anything on it. Typical me. Well, if you count Tumblr as a blog that makes four; but I don't use that one. I start things with good intentions, they just don't work out. Hopefully though, I won't slack in my photography blog. I'm going to try my best to keep it updated. (We will see how that goes.)

Another thing that I wanted to talk about was my plans for a book. I started one, put it on Wattpad, then deleted it. I think I kinda got ahead of myself because it was really short. Like the first chapter was a page long. No joke. So, I'm going to try to work on it whenever I'm alone and have time. I think it's a good idea and I can't wait for it to all come together.

Let's see, oh yes. One more thing before I wrap all this up. I've become a slight basketball fan. I say slight because I like it, but not as much as football. It's kinda strange for me, because I never thought I'd like basketball. I always thought it'd be a boring sport. But I was wrong. Just today I watched three games, two of which I picked the winning team. Go me! Haha

And now, I have to bring this to a close; and spare you of my ramblings.
