Lets catch up
Soooo, today I thought I'd take some time to talk to you all and let you know what has been going on in my crazy little world.
There hasn't been a whole lot going on, but there have been a few pretty big things. Well, not huge, but you know. Haha.
Hmm, where should I start? I guess the beginning is good, right? Yeah, lets start there.
Not a whole lot happened at the beginning of the year. I made a pretty big purchase with the money I'd made working. I was finally able to buy the camera I'd wanted & love it! Throughout the winter I didn't do a whole lot because it was soo intense. Literally it lasted for forever. It's finally over, thank goodness. I was going to go insane if it hadn't.
Okay, fast forward to May. My sister & I participated in our first ever 5k and had a blast! Seriously, even if you're not a runner, sign up for a Color Run. They are seriously sooo much fun. My sister & I can't wait to do another one! Umm, that's about all that happened in May.
Lets see, that leaves June. Wait, wait, lets back up a second. Last month I realized that I wanted to go to cosmetology school. Awesome, right? I've toured a couple schools & like them both a lot. I'm actually leaning more toward one than the other, it's just making sure I make the right decision. I'll definitely keep you all up to date with my decision.
Okay, now into June.
Not much has happened. I've filled out a couple job applications, & have an interview on Friday at one place & hopefully another one by the start of next week. I'll also keep you up to date on that as well. Oh, we went to the pool last Friday. That was fun. I got burnt though which never happens, ever. So I'm going to be buying some sunscreen fro the next time. Also, I bought a new bikini yesterday. So umm, yeah. That about covers it. Like I said, not a whole lot has happened.
I promise to post more often.
So, until next time :)

I choose you.
I saw this picture a few weeks ago and loved it sooo much.
"The greatest miracle of all is that God looks at me, at you, in all our dirt and brokenness, and says " I choose you. You are beautiful."
How beautiful is this quote? Every time I read it, I am more & more thankful to have a God who loves me even though I'm a complete mess 99.9% of the time.
Just think about it. He choose you, because you are beautiful. He sees through all the dirt and brokenness. He sees your beauty. Not your dirtiness. How amazing is that?
I think it's pretty amazing.

Hold on tight
I absolutely love this photo.
"Never hold on to anything tighter than you're holding onto God"
It's so true. Why hold onto all these worldly possessions when you know they can't help you. When you know they'll only let you down. Instead hold tight to the One who will never let go. Never disappoint. The One who can help you. He's so much greater than anything you could ever imagine.

Garlic Bread + Pizza = So much Yum!
Hello everyone.
Today on the blog, I will be posting a recipe. Just a little something I call Garlic Bread Pizza. So simple, so yummy; and it only takes 10 minutes! Who doesn't love those kind of meals?
I don't remember where I found the recipe, or if I just thought of it one day at the grocery store. Either way, I'm so glad I made it because it has turned into one of my go-to meals.
All you need is:
Garlic Bread
Pepperoni
Sausage
Mozzarella cheese
Pizza sauce
And whatever else you like on your pizza.
If you put sausage on you pizza, go ahead and cook that to your liking.
Once it is done, set it aside for a few. Set your oven to the correct temperature.
Put your garlic bread on a baking sheet, put your desired amount of pizza sauce on your bread, add your sausage, pepperoni and whatever else you like on pizza, top with cheese and bake for 10 minutes; and serve!
Super simple, super quick and super yummy!
Hope you enjoy!

You're beautiful
Yes, you. The one sitting behind the computer screen reading this. You are beautiful!
You don't have to own designer clothes and have perfect hair; you don't need to have a "thigh gap" or be a size "0" to be beautiful.
That's societies twisted view of beauty. They've made it seems like you have to look like the photoshoped model in the magazine. That if you're not a size 0, you're fat. That you need to have a thigh gap for guys to notice you.
But that's so far from the truth. Every women out there is beautiful in their own way. No matter what. Whether you're a size 12 & buy your clothes from Wal-Mart, or your thighs touch and your hair is a little frizzy. None of that matters. Because your absolutely stunning. Curves are sexy, and messy buns are all the rage.
And ladies, a man who only wants you for your body, is a man you can live without. A man should want to call you his because of your beautiful heart, your personality, and your smile. Because that's beautiful. Those are the things that should make him crazy about you.
Unfortunately, there are so many girls out there who are starving themselves because they think they have to be skinny to be beautiful; because that's what the models in the magazines look like. And it honestly breaks my heart.
We can't really blame them though. It's everywhere. In magazines, on tv, the computer. You can't escape it. It has become the harsh reality. But none of it is true. Because no matter your size, where you shop, if your thighs touch, or if they don't, you truly are absolutely beautiful. Gorgeous, stunning, and uniquely you!

the best potato soup. Ever
Hey there lovely readers! I thought I'd try doing something a little different with my blog. I was thinking that once a week I would share a recipe with you! Exciting, right? Well, I hope you will find it exciting; because I'm excited!
Anyway, today I thought I'd share a potato soup recipe with you. This is seriously the BEST recipe for potato soup - and I've tried a few. So, I hope you all will enjoy it as much as I do (:
Ingredients:
6-10 potatoes (6 cups)
6 cups of water
1 stalk of celery
5 pieces of Bacon
10 tbsp butter
10 tbsp flour
Cheese
Directions:
First, you're going to want to peel & rinse about 6 to 10 potatoes. If you have larger potatoes, I'd stick closer to the 6 & if you have smaller potatoes, go with about 10. Begin cutting them into bite sized pieces. You're going to want 6 cups of potatoes. Once you've got them cut, put them in a large pot & fill the pot with 6 cups of water. Put it on the stove and let it boil.
While your potatoes are boiling, begin cutting 1 stalk of celery & 5 pieces of bacon. Of course you can use more or less. If you don't like bacon, feel free to use ham. Put the celery and bacon (or ham) in a frying pan and let it cook. Keep the heat low so it doesn't burn!
Now, by this time, your potatoes should be boiling. Add 4 chicken bullion cubes. This adds a wonderful flavor to your soup.
In a separate pot, melt 10 tablespoons of butter. Once it's melted, add in 10 tablespoons of flour. Stir that together and add 4 cups of milk, slowly. While pouring the milk, make sure you're stirring it. Adding the milk slowly will prevent clumping. Let that thicken. You don't want it to boil, so make sure to keep stirring, and you'll be able to tell when it has thickened.
Once it has thickened, pour it straight into the pot with the potatoes. Add in your bacon or ham and celery - be careful not to add the bacon grease. Add some cheese, and there you have it. The best potato soup!
This serves 6 people.
I hope you enjoy! Once you've tried it, let me know how you like it!

its been awhile...
Oh my goodness! I can not believe that it has been almost 2 months since I've blogged. Don't hate me. I've just been busy.
Wow, okay. Where to start. Geez, so much has happened.
Well, let's see, I actually got the job at Starbucks. Way more intense than I had expected. I ended up quitting after only 4 days... I know, that sounds really bad. But I tried to make it work. Believe me, I tried. I was just really uncomfortable and very overwhelmed. Not to mention, I was stressed beyond belief. Okay, enough of that one.
I got another job a few days later, actually. I thought it was going to be better. It was. But... I quit. Big mistake. I shouldn't have quit. I've been kicking myself over it for the past week now.
Now, I'm thinking about applying at Party City. They're hiring for the Halloween season. I figure I'll work there until after Halloween, take the winter to really think about my purpose in life, and get another job in the spring. Also, save for some photography classes, and go from there.
Really though, I'm extremely lost and confused. I feel like nothing has gone according to plan, and I'm just losing control of everything. I just don't know what to do anymore. I thought I had life all figured out (silly me) because I have nothing figured out. I feel like a chicken with its head cut off. So, this might explain why I've not been blogging.
On a happier note, I think I've kinda sorta figured out what area of photography I want to, I guess you could say, specialize in. I've recently become obsessed with Senior Portrait Photography. It's something I've kinda fallen in love with. So if I ever get the opportunity to, I'd love to do just that.
Um yeah, so that's about it. I've made a few mistakes these past couple months, and I've been pretty stressed. Here's to hoping the this month is better and I get some questions answered and I can figure a few things out.
Until next time,
Charlie Sue (:
