1 Peter 5:10

Hey readers! Look at me, blogging in the middle of the day, haha.
Its been a few days since I've blogged; and today I'll share a verse. I'll try to get another one posted to get y'all caught up on the goings on in my life. For now though, we'll stick with the verse.

1 Peter 5:10
"But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you."

I believe this is saying that whatever storm we are going through, we are going through it for a reason. God will use it to perfect us - in how we rely on Him, He will use it to establish us - in our faith, how we live for Him, He will use it to strengthen us - so we can weather the storm, so we can keep going even when things are hard, and when it's over, He will settle us - in giving us peace and comfort.

He won't let us go through it alone. Even when it seems like he's deserted us, He's still there, holding our hand.

Whatever storm you're going through, you're not alone; and you don't have to go through it alone. He's always by your side and He will help you get through it. Always.

2 Timothy 1:7

Hey Readers! Its been a few days since I've posted anything.

Today I thought I'd share with you a verse out of 2 Timothy

2 Timothy 1:7
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."

I believe that this is telling us that there is nothing to fear; or that we shouldn't fear, because God has given us a spirit not of fear but of power. It's easy to get scared or nervous when doing something - or trying something new; but we are told many times not to fear. In this verse we are told that we are given a spirit of power.

Whenever you find yourself in fear - try to remember this verse.

April Goals

I've seen a few people doing these; and I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon. So here goes:

Get my license- I think my parents are going to be setting up an appointment here this week for me to go take the driving test. I just hope I pass.

Blog more often - I want to blog at least every other day, if not every day.

Try to not waste time on social media - this one is going to be hard. I get on Facebook & Twitter a lot. Mainly because I don't have a life; but I'm really going to try and not get on as often.

Spend more time with friends - this is one that I really want & need to do. I haven't seen my friends in over a year. It's really hard not seeing them. Hopefully we can start hanging out again soon!

Start planning my 18th birthday party? - this is a possibility. I'll be 18 in July; and I want to do something, I'm just not sure what I want to do yet.

Read more often - I really need to do this one. I have like 20 something books and I just finished one yesterday. So I really need to read more.

Start my "end of the year" school project - this is something my mom wants me to do. I should probably get it started; seeing as how I'll be graduating in June, maybe earlier.

Think about college? - I'm still thinking about this. I have no clue if I'm going to go. It all depends on where God leads me.

Finish "Gone with the Wind" - I just started it; but I really want to finish this one.

Photography - of course I can't go without putting something about photography. I really need to get a new camera. I'm trying to decide if I should get a Canon or a Nixon; I've heard that they're both great cameras. I'll have to see which is best for me.

Spend more time outside - the weather is getting warmer so I need to spend more time outdoors.

Get fit & healthy - by this I mean I need to work-out everyday or every other day. Also, stop late night snacking.

I think that's all for now. If I think of more, I'll edit & and put it in. In may, you will all get to see how I've done.

Philippians 4:8

Hey readers! Its been awhile since I've blogged; and I'm going to try to blog at least every other day.

Okay, so today I thought I'd share with you a couple verses out of Philippians.

Philippians 4:8
"Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy - meditate on these things.

Don't sit and only think about all the bad things that could happen - or that have happened. What this verse is telling us is that we need to focus on all the good things, not on all the bad. We can't live a happy life if we're constantly thinking about everything that's gone wrong. We need to focus on everything that's gone right.

This is hard to do on your own, buy with God we can do it - we can do anything through Him who gives us strength.
